Marty Sklar’s “Mickey’s Ten Commandments” are insightful axioms when designing experiences. While in the parks today, notice each of these “Commandments” in action.

How can you tell Imagineers “knew their audience”?

How can you tell Imagineers “wore their guests’ shoes”?

How can you tell there is a clear plan?

How was a visual magnet implemented?

How was the non-verbal story communicated?

How were objects reduced to avoid clutter and focus attention?

How is the story unified and clear?

How is learning complemented by entertainment?

How is it unified with no intrusions?

How can you tell it has been well-maintained?
